Asma Jahangir’s dim report on the horrendous human rights violations in Iran

29.10.2017
By Zohair Ahmad
Earlier this year the special rapporteur on  human rights in Iran, Asma Jahangir delivered a dim report about all the violations committed in Iran and for the first time she mentioned the 1988 massacre of political prisoners by the Iranian regime, she also called for the assembly of a committee to investigate the Massacre and to bring the culprits to justice.

Asma Jahangir UN special rapporteur on  human rights in Iran

As expected the Iranian regime was trying to cover up their crimes by making accusations against the UN special rapporteur claiming that all crimes were fabricated and accused her of being totally political against Iran. He claimed that all minorities in Iran are allowed to have activities unless they are harmful to Iranian society ( read the clerical regime). He also added that “we denounce the appointment of the country-specific Rapporteur …., no country should change its way of life because of western dictation” Mr. Hassaninejad seem to forget that murder is not a way of life, it is a crime. And any regime that legitimate murder like the 1988 massacre must be prosecuted and sentenced in an independent court of law.
In her report, Jahangir expressed concern over the rate of executions in Iran. Reports indicate that at least 435 persons have been executed in the first half of 2017. At least 4 of them was children. And 86 children are on death row, this is the known cases, the actual figure might be higher.

Mrs. Jahangir asked for a withdrawal of the death sentence that has been issued to the imprisoned teacher Mr. Taheri, she also called for his unconditional release.
The massacre of 1988 in Iran was addressed as a crime against humanity and the Rapporteur added that the persecution of ordinary Iranians based on their political beliefs is not a recent phenomenon but is well ingrained in the Iranian regime’s DNA. She added that in 1988 the regime slaughtered more than 30 000 political prisoners in just a couple of months, the regime buried the victims in mass graves and tried to cover up the crime, to hide it from the rest of the world.
The rapporteur stressed that despite the recent acknowledgments of the genocide from the highest- ranking members of the regime, the international community has still been largely silent and this silence must end.  Jahangir said that the families of the victims have a right to remedy, reparation and the right to know the truth about these events and the fate of their loved ones without reprisal.
She repeated her call upon the government to ensure that a thorough and independent investigation into these events is carried out.
Jahangir also paid tribute to the many human rights defenders who have risked their lives to speak to her about the situation in Iran.
We will join Jahangir in her call to bring justice to the victims of the 1988 Massacre and we would like to urge the UN to assemble an inquiry committee to investigate the massacre.
We might never know the exact number of victims of this hideous crime but we will continue our quest to bring the culprits to trial. And to get justice for the victims of the 1988 massacre.

The horrific truth about the 1988 massacre of political prisoners in Iran

18.10.17
By Zohair Ahmad
It has become common knowledge that during the summer of 1988 the clerical regime murdered more than 30 000 political prisoners in the most brutal fashion. The UN special rapporteur Asma Jahangir mentioned the massacre in her rapport to the UN when she addressed the human rights situation in Iran this year. There has also been requested that the UN should assemble an inquiry committee to investigate the 1988 massacre.
Action in France in memorial for 1988 massacre victims

The audio tapes that were revealed by the late Ayatollah Montazeri’s son leave no doubt that Khomeini’s death Fatwa was a crime against humanity and must be dealt with accordingly. The fatwa about killing members and supporters of the PMOI was a crime against humanity and all the people that had a role in implementing this decree were involved in a crime against humanity.

It is no secret that the same people that were involved in these killings are the same people that are now at the helm of the Islamic Republic of Iran and they are also involved in the suppression and destruction of different sectors of Iranian society.
It is clear that the culprits behind the 1988 massacre will continue to abuse human rights until they are faced with a judge and a jury and are tried for this hideous crime. The first step will be to acknowledge the 1988 massacre, the second step will be to start an inquiry to reveal the extent of this crime, the third step is to seek justice for the 30 000 victims of this horrific crime. The very fact that everyone that had any connection with the PMOI was murdered, not even unborn babies were spared, they got killed with their mothers. Also, children were reported killed during this killing spree by the regime. Youngest victim we know about was 13 years old. The list of victims that were killed during the summer of 1988 might never be completed since the regime is doing whatever they can to cover this up, they have even resorted to demolishing the mass graves of the victims in an effort to destroy vital evidence of the crime.
We, therefore, urge you all to join us in our request to the UN that the 1988 massacre must be mentioned as a human rights violation and that an independent inquiry committee must be appointed by the UN in an effort to seek justice for the thousands of victims that perished under this massacre.

Iranians gather in New York to protest Rouhani’s presence in the UN General Assembly

14,09.17
By Zohair Ahmad

For several years now, Iranians community in the USA and their supporters have held rallies in front of UN to Protest the conduct of the Iranian regime. This year is no different. The rally this year will take place on September 20th outside the UN headquarters. This year a photo exhibition commemorating the anniversary of the 1988 Massacre will be on display.
Present at the rally this year will be exile-Iranians and their supporters which will be joined by many Syrians who are protesting IRGC presence in Syria. The main slogan in this rally will be «No2Rouhani». but also «Iran out of Syria» the call for a regime change in Iran is also important issues for this rally.
In this rally, thousands of Iranian-American community members will join human rights activists and prominent civil and political leaders to condemn unabated executions in Iran. We have seen under Rouhanis tenure that in fact the number of executions are not unabated but are in fact increasing. More than 3000 executed, in July alone at least 101 Iranians executed. So far this year 408 people have been executed according to official numbers but the actual amount of executions might be higher due to secret executions. It is therefore of utmost importance that we protest this grave violation of human rights that is taking place at the hands of the Iranian regime. It is a known fact that Rouhani represents a regime responsible for the execution of 30 000 political prisoners in 1988, and the UN must recognize this and uninvite him to the UN assembly. Iranians demand the UN not to allow a perpetrator of the 1988 massacre of Iranian political prisoners access to the UN assembly.
Protest of Iranian youth tribute the 1988 massacre victims

One other issue important in this rally is the urgent matter of expelling the Iranian regimes forces IRGC out of Syria, at this rally the demand will be to remove all Iranian presence in Syria so that the Syrian people will get their freedom. It is a known fact that without the support of the terrorist group IRGC, Assad would have lost power many years ago. Rouhani is the main supporter of dictator Assad in Syria, and the only way to be able to end the conflict in Syria will be to expel Iran from the whole region. One of the most hideous crimes committed in Syria by IRGC was the Aleppo massacre in 2016. Therefore the demand is to expel Iran from Syria.

We demand the UN, judge Rouhani by his deeds and not by his words for he has no problem to lie if that gives him an advantage. Look at how he is approving torture in prisons, not objecting to executions, he was, in fact, the very man that expressed the wish for public executions after Friday prayers. Rouhani was one of the key players behind the mass executions of political prisoners in Iran in 1988.
Iranian Americans will in this Rally emphasize that regime change in Iran is imperative and achievable, not by means of outside military interference, but from Iran’s own people and their organized resistance, which is fully prepared to facilitate that change. Please keep speaking out for the political prisoners in their 40th day of hunger strike. We must show them they are not forgotten.
You are welcomed to join.

Support for Political prisoners on hunger strike in Iran

20.08.17
political prisoners in hall 12 of ward 4, the guards insulted and beaten the prisoners and they forcefully transferred the prisoners to hall 10 in the same ward. The prison authorities have deprived the prisoners of minimum hygiene products and decent clothing, the prisoners have also been deprived of all family visits and they have been placed under pressure to end their hunger strike.

political prisoners on hunger strike in Iran
Since the news came out the prisoners on hunger strike have gained massive support not only around the world but also fellow political prisoners in various prisons across Iran have expressed their support.
On August 15, 2017, Mr. Gerard Deprez, MEP and Chair of the friends of free Iran Committee in the European Parliament, issued a statement from Brussels where they expressed their concern about the health and safety of
political prisoners in solitary confinement of Ward 4 in Gohardasht prison of Karaj, west of Tehran. They have been on hunger strike to protest the regime’s ruthless attack on the prisoners on 30, July.
The statement also mentioned the recently published Amnesty International report on human rights violations under the «moderate» Rouhani. the statement concludes with an urge to the President of the European Parliament, the EU High Representative Federica Mogherini, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and the UN Special Rapporteur on Iran to publicly condemn the continuous mistreatment of political prisoners in Iran and to call for their release.
A group of exiled prisoners in Ardebil prison expressed their unconditional support to the prisoners on hunger strike and added that they would stage a hunger strike in support of their demands are not met.
Also the political prisoner Ali Moezi expressed his support from Tehran’s Central prison. In his letter, he recalled his memories from Gohardasht prison, memories of the martyrs of the 1980's, particularly the martyrs of the 1988 massacre in Iran. He remembers the martyrdom of some of the political prisoners in recent years in Gohardasht.

Political prisoner Ali Moezi
The lack of options for the prisoners to protest inhuman treatment has resulted in a number of hunger strikes, that is the only way the prisoners can show their discontent with the prison authorities.
Political prisoners all over Iran needs our unconditional support, not only those that languish in Gohardasht prison. It is our duty to urge our leaders to put pressure on the Iranian regime to make them respect and uphold human rights. It is our duty to be the voice of those unable to speak for them selves.
For as long as there are political or prisoners of conscience in Iranian prisons, the Iranian resistance will fight for their human rights and for their release, we will never forget and never give up until the last unjust detainee is released and free.

A call for justice for the 1988 Iran Massacre- Sign the petition

18.08.2017
By Zohair Ahmad
In these days there is a petition on Change.org that is asking you to sign to support the call for justice for the victims of Khomeini’s death fatwa that demanded the execution of all political prisoners that was opposing the theocratic rule of the mullahs. the petition calls for justice for over 30 000 girls, boys, women and men massacred over a few summer months in 1988. most of the victims were members or supporters of MEK/PMOI.
change_petition for 1988 massacre in Iran

The crime against humanity is so grave that the Iranian regime has gone to great length to cover up their crimes. The regime has denied that the massacre took place for over 20 years but the truth always comes out, and the culprits of this hideous crime get revealed one by one. Since the regime is denying that the massacre took place it has proven difficult to obtain the identities of all the victims.

We have to thank the brave Mojahedin activists inside Iran for all the information we have received, many of them lost their lives working on this project. During the massacre, all prisons across Iran were placed in a state of emergency on the day the carnage began. All personnel had to participate in the killings so they would not reveal the truth afterward. In many prisons and wards, prisoners were executed to the last person to ensure that the secrets would be buried forever.
PMOI-MEK supporters

A statistical breakdown reveals that 38 percent of the victims were hanged, 48 percent were executed by firing squads and 14 percent were killed under a variety of circumstances: some died under torture, some were murdered when guards blew up part of the prison and some were hanged in public. Only 300 prisoners of the thousands held in Gohardasht survived the killings by mid-September 1988. victims include children as young as 13 years old. 25 percent were under 25 years, 58 percent were under 30.

The wide range of professional background of the victims is another indication of how deeply the massacre cut into Iranian society, leaving no family unscathed in a country where extended families are still predominant.
The criminals behind the massacre are now in high positions in the current clerical government. The supreme leader went as far as to state that the members of the death commission should be rewarded for their participation in the massacre. Khomeini said in a speech that if the regime had burned all Mojahedin in the first days after they hijacked the people's revolution in 1979 they would not have had to resort to massacre to kill the Iranian resistance.
preparators of 1988 massacre in Iran

This is just a fraction of the facts about this hideous crime but we hope this is enough to convince you to join our cause and sign the petition to help us bring all criminals behind the massacre before a judge and a jury.

Thank you for your support.

The rise in juvenile executions in Iran, a Sign of the fear of people's uprising

13.08.17
By Zohair Ahmad
What is the recent rise in executions of juveniles in Iran a sign of?
Ever since the clerics hijacked the people's revolution in 1979, they have been afraid of losing their stolen power and the only response the regime knows is by violence, suppression, and executions.
Juvenile execution in Iran

The most recent violation is that of Alireza Tajiki, he was executed despite the fact that he was a child when he was sentenced to death. The United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Iran, Asma Jahangir, has expressed outrage at the execution of Alireza Tajiki.  The Iranian regime executed him despite protests from different Human rights organizations.

Alireza Tajiki sentenced to death when he was 15

Alireza was arrested in 2012 at the tender age of 15, in 2013 he received the death sentence, he was only 16 years old. He was executed on August 10, 2017. Mr, Tajiki had reportedly been tortured and had not received a fair trial. The Special Rapporteur was distressed to the extreme to learn that the execution had gone ahead despite twice being postponed on previously scheduled dates. She also stressed that Mr. Tajiki’s death penalty was upheld following judicial procedures which did not meet acceptable international standards of a fair trial or due process.
Unfortunately, this is not uncommon in Iran, according to official

On International Youth Day more oppression for Iranian boys and girls

12.08.17
By Zohair Ahmad
On this year's youth day the conditions for young people in Iran is worse than ever.
The human rights abuse against young men and women have indeed increased under Rouhani’s rule.
On InternationalYouthDay we remember and praise the vibrant, energetic & talented girls who were executed by Iran regime in 1988 massacre & were not able to blossom.

Youth victims of 1988 massacre

The world’s politicians have believed the Iranian lobby’ists who have claimed that Rouhani is a moderate. But his merits proves different, under Rouhani 3000 prisoners have been executed and a large number of the victims are juveniles. Official records show that 5000 prisoners on death-row are between 20 and 30 years of age.The daily human rights violations have indeed increased at the same rapid rate.  The clerical regime has cracked down on women in many different ways, the compulsory hijab law is one of them, even in the privacy of their own cars women are not allowed to remove their hijab.  But we can observe that more and more women are breaking the rules of the regime, and that is a clear sign that the regime is losing their iron-grip on the Iranian people.

women oppression by moral police in Iran
During the presidential campaign for this year's sham election, the youth was out on the streets protesting with slogans like «no to the charlatan» and «no to the imposter» referring to the candidates of the presidential (S)election. The answer from the regime was an increase in executions, arbitrary arrests, and unfair imprisonments.

The culprits from the 1988 massacre and why it is important that they are prosecuted.

11.08.17
By Zohair Ahmad
As Rouhani starts his second term he has made some changes in his government, but it is not for the better, he just replaced an executioner with another. Alireza Avaie is replacing Mostafa Pourmohammadi who was one of the three members of the death commission responsible for the 1988 massacre.
The homepage of The 1988 Massacre in Iran site

Rouhanis new minister of justice, Alireza Avaie, was directly involved in the 1988 massacre of political prisoners in Iran’s Khuzestan province. It has been proven Avaie’s involvement in the 1988 massacre in Younesco prison in the city of Dezful in the south west of Iran. Avaie served as Dezful’s prosecutor from 1979 to 1988. during the horrific massacre in 1988, he was serving as the revolutionary court prosecutor. Avaie was in fact sanctioned by the European Union in October 2011 for his role in human rights violations and direct participation of torturing and massacring political prisoners.

What is the recent increase of protests in Iran a sign of?

In 2017, we can see that the number of protests in Iran is rapidly increasing. The Iranian people are no longer afraid to protest the misdeeds of the mullahs regime. There are many different ways the people are protesting, they do not just enter the streets anymore, they are protesting by hanging posters of the Iranian resistance leader in plain sight, they are protesting from their prison cells, calling for justice for the victims of the 1988 massacre but also protesting against all the human rights abuse that is taking place in Iran under the dictatorship of the mullahs.
Tehran, plundered shareholders of Toseah finance institution (Arman) demand their lost savings.
The regime’s power is withering away, the regime is working for only 4% of the population the other 96% are more or less left to defend for them selves while the mullahs are stealing the food out of the children's mouths. As the mullahs are getting fatter the people are starving to death, many families are forced to sell their children for pennies to survive.  We have also seen the grave sleepers, people so poor that the only place they can call home is a pre-dug grave. The poverty in Iran is increasing at an alarming rate under the mullahs rule. This has made the population eager for change and the best option is the NCRI.

PMOI supporters around the world support Iranian resistance inside Iran

The mullahs regime are very well aware of the fact that the Iranian resistance is growing inside Iran and they are prepared to do anything to stop the MEK/PMOI. The regime has been known to launch demonizing campaigns against MEK/PMOI to spread lies with the hope that the Iranian youth would believe them, but the Iranian youth have no intention to spend their lives as slaves for the clerical regime, the biggest wish for Iranian youth is a regime change, the youth are protesting against the mullahs because they want them gone and the youth know that the only organization strong enough to stand against the mullahs are the MEK/PMOI and the mullahs know this too.
Haft-Tappeh employees' protest in Khuzestan province south of Iran
It is, therefore, safe to conclude that the recent development in Iran is a sign of a shift in peoples expectations in life, the Iranian youth is no longer content with living their lives as slaves for the regime, they are well educated and the young men can no longer sit by and watch young girls get married off at the age of 9, nor can they accept that women with the same skills as men are denied a job either by the bosses or their husbands. The young men in Iran have in the recent months protested, on behalf of their wives or sisters, the forced hijab law, they want the women to be able to choose for them selves.

PMOI is the main opposition Org. in Iran

A regime change in Iran is inevitable and the people have made their choice they want MEK/PMOI to rule Iran, the people wish to wipe the mullahs out of Iran. One other thing that scares the regime is the very fact that the President-elect of the NCRI is a woman Mrs. Maryam Rajavi. Mrs. Rajavi has been working in the resistance for more than 40 years, and god willing she will be struggling for freedom until Iran is free.

Rouhani's second term means increasing suppression and executions

05 August 2017
By Zohair Ahmad
As Rouhani starts his second term as the President of Iran the suppression and executions are increasing. The notion that Rouhani is a moderate is proven to be false. So far in 2017, 101 people have been executed. Under Rouhanis tenure 80 women have been executed.  If we compare that with the former President, Ahmadinejad almost 900 people were executed under his tenure, during Rouhanis tenure so far, more than 3000 people have been executed.
Rouhani second term as president started by 103 Execution
The regime has become more and more isolated since prominent politicians in EU are asking for justice for the victims of the 1988 massacre of political prisoners in Iran. And the list of collaborators with the dictators in Tehran is getting shorter by the minute, it is therefore very important for the regime to appear as moderates who value human rights and that the regimes most important work are the well-being of the people of Iran.

The fact that the head of EU foreign policy, Federica Mogherini is in Tehran to legitimize Rouhanis presidency show the length some politicians are willing to go for profit. It seems like the money rule.
After the sham election, everybody thought that the executions in Iran would decrease but they have in fact increased. And the youth of Iran is openly showing their discontent with the clerical regime. The result of this is more abuse, arbitrary arrests, torture, and executions, but what more can you expect from the man that suggested public executions in the first place, Rouhani. Yes, that came from Rouhani, he also was in a key position during the horrific massacre of political prisoners in 1988.
Moughrini never speak about human right violations in Iran
It is also under Rouhani that the suppression of women has increased, the mandatory hijab law has been intensified and new laws against women has been ratified under Rouhani. So I have a question to Federica Mogherini, «how can you literally go down on your knees for a regime that is responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of political prisoners?»

«How do you justify your visit, wearing a hijab in a country where women have no rights at all?» it has become quite clear that Mogherini just follows the money and she shows no regards for the loss of innocent human lives.  The disregard of human lives is something she has in common with the dictatorial, clerical mullahs in Tehran.

Why does the Iranian regime fear MEK so much?

On August 17, 1979, Ayatollah Khomeini said in a speech «if only we had acted in a more revolutionary manner after overthrowing the corrupt regime of Shah. If only we had broken all the media’s pens, and if only we had set up gallows across all town squares and eliminated the corrupters, we wouldn’t be having these troubles. Our first Imam, Ali (peace be upon him) used to draw his sword against those who conspired against him. Reportedly Imam Ali used his sword to kill 700 of the Jews from Bani- Qurayza tribe in one single day. Those Jews may be the ancestors of the Israelis»

Iranian youth join & support MEK/PMOI
By misinterpret history, Khomeini wanted to open the way for the murder of his opponents and in the best of them the Mujahideen.  In this way, Khomeini misused the name of Imam Ali, who is the true enemy of Khomeini and his historicist, in his speech.  Khomeini never mentioned in his speeches any names from Imam He did not give a reason he just used that phrase to justify the murder of MEK members.

The regimes defeat in the war against Iraq resulted in social unrest in Iran and the only solution the clerical regime could think of was mass executions of MEK  (Mujahedin e-khalk) the Iranian resistance movement. In a matter of a few months in 1988, the regime executed girls, boys, women and men that supported MEK. The executions of MEK supporters was of such proportions that it must be referred to as a massacre. More than 33 000 MEK members were massacred by the regimes death commission.
The reason for the massacre of MEK members and supporters can be read between the lines in Khomeini's speech, the regime knew from that moment that the only thing that was a threat to the regime was MEK.  The MEK had been a key player in the overthrow of the Shah and MEK was the victors of the revolution. The Islamic dictators hijacked the revolution from  MEK and the persecutions and executions of MEK have continued to this day.
The regime has been trying to hide the extent of the massacre of MEK members and they have been trying to justify the Massacre. Some remarks about MEK from Khomeini, Rafsanjani, and Khamenei leaves no room for denial:
MEK members need no court procedures, kill them wherever you see them on the streets! If you find an injured MEK member finish him off.
The MEK has no reverence, spill their blood and spoil their belongings.
Judges should not accept MEK complaints.
Those MEK members arrested must be thrown of heights or get their right hands and left feet amputated.
Khomeini also remarked that the regime made a mistake by not killing the MEK members at the beginning of the revolution, he believed that if the regime had set MEK members on fire then, the MEK would have been finished. When today’s generation is trying to find information about MEK they will not find the truth but the regime's propaganda. The regime’s latest attempt to demonize the MEK was a film that even Khamenei defended.  More and more of the Iranian youth are questioning the legality of the Massacre of MEK members in 1988. they are asking if the regime has nothing to hide why are they demolishing MEK mass graves? Why are they denying the families of executed MEK members to know the location of the graves of their loved ones? The result of this coverup by the regime is that more and more Iranian youth are joining MEK in the fight for a free and democratic Iran.
The MEK and NCRI President-elect Maryam Rajavi will be the salvation for Iran.

The massacre of 1988 in Iran will never be forgotten

29 years have passed since the clerical regime committed a crime so grave that it has carved a permanent scar on the Iranian people's soul. The massacre of 1988. It all started with Khomeini’s death fatwa, all dissidents must die. It boils down to the mullahs fear of losing power, it was very important to get all opposition out of the way, nothing or no-one must threaten the clerical regime. Not then, not now.

The gravity of this crime against humanity is unpresidential, and the culprits are now serving in the current Iranian regime’s government. Many of the victims had already been sentenced to

The 1988 Massacre is the worst case of human rights abuse in Iran

Over a few summer months in 1988, the regime of the Mullahs murdered more than 30 000 political prisoners and buried them in vast mass graves. Up until this day, the perpetrator of this hideous crime has gone unpunished. In fact, most of the members of the death commissions have high ranking positions in the regime today. One very profiled member of the death Commission is Ebrahim Raisi, you will remember him as one of the candidates for this year's sham presidential election.  The revelation of his role in the 1988 massacre was one of the reasons Khamenei had to pull him out of the election.

1988 Massacre in Iran led by Khomeini fatwa

The role of Hassan Rouhani, Iran's current president was that of Deputy Commander-in-chief of the regime’s armed forces. In this position, he was fully cognizant of this hideous crime and obviously as in full conformity. He is like all other senior officials of the regime a culprit of this hideous crime.
The truth commission in London in 2012 gave the victims and their families a voice that could be heard all over the world. The

substantial upsurge in Iranian political landscape change

As we are getting closer to the Iranian resistance’s Grand Gathering in Paris, July 1. the fear of the regime is that the people are demanding a regime change. To prevent that from happening they are terrorizing civilians in the streets.Videos from inside Iran reveals the harassment and abuse conducted by the moral police.  The Iranian people are getting more and more abused as the regime are getting more and more fearful.
The fear of the mullahs regime of Iran is manifesting itself as terrorist activities conducted by the so called moral police and many other kinds of police as mountain police or hijab police and so on. The Basij militia is also contributing to the terror. This means that the Iranian people are at the mercy of murderers.

The Grand Gathering have appealed to the Iranian youth, they want a regime change and are willing to risk their freedom to achieve it. The Iranian regime is using the war in Syria and Iraq to strangle any attempt of an uprising in Iran, they are willing to do anything to prevent an uprising like the one in 2009.

They have admitted that they have held 300 exhibitions against the MEK up to now. The MEK is getting recognized as a leading institute in Human Rights. The regime says that Iranian youth is the target of the MEK and the regime must address that as a threat. The regime’s intelligence ministry has produced an 8000-word long report against the MEK. In this report, the role of MEK  exposing the regime’s nuclear projects is disguised. The administration of the project says: “following exposure of the nuclear weapons program, the media published  reports in this regard and this was the  beginning of a major crisis that resulted in the adoption of several resolutions and sanctions with the devastating effects which are still continuing.”
One other thing is lashing of people who do not fast, it is Ramadan and in Iran, and under the Mullahs regime, it is forbidden to show that you are anything different than Shia Muslim. Christians and Bahais do not fast but the police are harassing them and even lashing them if they eat in public.
A third issue is the media coverage and protests regarding the 1988 massacre. The release of audiotapes that was admitting the regime's agenda initiated a worldwide movement and during the last 10 months have created a huge momentum against the ongoing violations of human rights in Iran, both inside and outside of Iran.

Justice for the victims of the 1988 massacre published in February 2017 details of numerous mass graves in Iran. The report refers to a mass grave near the Behesht Abad cemetery in Ahvaz. Amnesty International published news on June 1, 2017, warning that the Iranian authorities may be attempting to desecrate the mass grave in an attempt to destroy vital forensic evidence, and sabotage opportunities for justice for the victims of the 1988 massacre.

The growing sympathies for MEK is a result of these revelations and the regime is doing anything in their power to counter the effect. Most of the victims in this massacre were MEK members.
All people in Iran is speaking about the massacre and it is now a big movement in Iran that is working against the mullahs crimes and in addition, the fractions inside the regime are fighting each other.

Iran clerical regime must be put on trial for 1988 massacre

Finally, the resolution 188 that ask for condemnation of the 1988 massacre was ratified. This is a victory for all the innocent families that lost loved ones in this hideous crime. The mullahs must for the first time since they hijacked the people's revolution in Iran answer for their crimes.

There is no doubt that it is the clerical regime that must be put on trial for this atrocity.  It all started with Khomeini’s death fatwa, and his death commissions were very efficient in their executions. The ratification of this Resolution came at a time when the clerical regime is divided and in chaos. It is a matter of facts that the

The MEK rejects the lies & fake news by the clerical Iran regime?

A few days ago shootings and explosions at the site of Khomeini’s tomb and the regime’s Parliament have nothing to do with the People’s Mojahedin Organisation of Iran (PMOI or MEK); however, state media and individuals affiliated with the regime are trying through various means to drag the PMOI into this matter. Their intention is to either use this event against the PMOI or else to justify their own previous crimes.
44th anniversary of the martyrdom of PMOI founders
In this regard, some of the regime’s sources while reporting the incidents, tried to justify the massacre of political prisoners in 1988, which has led to increasing social outrage and international condemnation over the past year following the revelation of an audio tape by Mr. Hossein Ali Montazeri.
The PMOI rejects the lies by the clerical regime and calls for an international investigation into these incidents.

The NCRI is the only solution for a free Iran

The biggest fear for the dictators in Tehran is that the Iranian people get so fed up with the clerical regime that they stage a new revolution. The regime knows that when this happens they will be overthrown and obsolete. In a new Iran, there is no need for old-fashioned dictatorial mullahs.

The new Iran needs the Iranian resistance council, the NCRI. The regime fears the NCRI because they know that they have the support of the Iranian people, the mullahs do not, the Iranian public hates the regime and their actions. The regime is known for their suppression, torture, and executions.

Iranian presidential sham election is boycotted

As the Iranian presidential election is getting closer, let’s take a look at it. The election is scheduled to be held May 19th. It is not really an election, it is more like an announcement of who the mullahs have chosen to become the next president. It has happened this way for many years, that is why the resistance and the Iranian public have boycotted the sham elections since June 20, 1981.

Iranian presidential election
The sham was exposed to the whole world at the re-election of Ahmedinejad, in some provinces there were more votes than voters, in some of them, there was 110% voting rate.
The sham was exposed but it did not make the mullahs change their ways. The voting sham leads to the uprising of 2009 where many young protesters were murdered by the IRGC in the streets of Tehran.

The Iranian people no longer believe in the lie that their votes matter. This strikes so much fear in the clerics that they have forbidden any election protests.

Iran-Maryam Akbari-Monfared the brave political prisoner in jail just for seeking justice

We demand Maryam Akbari-Monfared released unconditionally.

On march 8, 2017, in a joint statement, 20 human rights organizations including the center for Human Rights in Iran (CHRI) called on the Iranian authorities to stop the harassment, intimidation and prosecution of human rights defenders seeking truth and justice on behalf of individuals who were summarily executed or forcibly disappeared during the 1980s and their families.

Maryam Akbari-Monfared
Over the past few months, Maryam Akbari-Monfared has been subjected to harassment, reprisals or prosecution on vague national security-related charges for the peaceful effort to learn the whereabouts of her loved ones. Maryam has faced reprisals since she filed a formal complaint from inside prison requesting an official investigation into the mass executions of political prisoners in the 1980s. she is currently serving a 15 years sentence in Tehran’s Evin Prison on several charges, including “enmity against god” she is now living under enormous strain deprived of medical care for her rheumatoid arthritis and thyroid problems. The authorities also restricted visits from her family including her 3 children as a punishment. She has also been threatened her with new charges.  The associate prosecutor of Evin prison have said “what does she want to know? Those who executed her brothers and sister are either dead or elderly and her siblings are probably buried in Khavaran…. such complaints are of no use. They would only make her conditions in prison more difficult and impede her release or access to [prison] leave”

Amnesty International urgent action for political prisoner

Maryam was sentenced to 15 years in prison in 2010 on several charges. Her conviction was based on the fact that she had made several phone calls to her siblings in the PMOI, she had also visited them near camp Ashraf in Iraq. Maryam was never provided a written judgment.  She was told during the trial that she was serving prison time on behalf of her siblings. Her appeals were dismissed in a summary fashion with no explanation. Her request for judicial review is currently pending before Iran’s supreme court. She is being held in prison on bogus charges mainly because her siblings are with the PMOI, she has never admitted to belong to the PMOI but the authorities use the possibility to harass her and restrain her healthcare access. She is in danger of becoming seriously ill if she is denied medical treatment. Maryam is imprisoned on false charges and must be released unconditionally.
