The Iranian resistance Iftar gathering in Paris june 3 2017.

On the night of June 3, there was an Iftar Gathering in the headquarters of the Iranian resistance in Paris. At that occasion, Mrs. Rajavi visited a photo exhibition that bore the name of “Carnage and massacre from Iran to Syria”. Mrs. Rajavi also lay down flowers at the monument of Syrian resistance’s martyrs.

The most important issue was when Mrs. Rajavi  proposed a three-pronged initiative and urged all nations in the region to support it: designation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps as a terrorist entity, expulsion of the Iranian regime from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and recognition of the Iranian people’s Resistance for the overthrow of the mullahs’ religious dictatorship and establishment of freedom.

In her speech at the gathering, Mrs. Rajavi started by saying that the holy month of Ramadan is the month of bonding of hearts, friendship, solidarity, and peace. She urged that in the holy month of Ramadan the Muslim nations must unite in solidarity and reject religious compulsion and compulsory religion. She also added that the dispute is not between Shiites and Sunnis, or between

Christians and Muslims. There is no war among civilizations. The main dispute and confrontation are between the ruling fundamentalist tyranny and democracy and freedom.  She continued by stating that rejection of compulsion in religion opens the way for the principle of separation of religion from state. Rejection of compulsion leaves no room for despotism and religious discrimination under the name of God. Mrs. Rajavi also stated that Islam abhors all forms of compulsion ranging from the mandatory veil to forcing people to fast and pray by flogging and terror. Islam also abhors prevention of construction of Sunni mosques and using the name of God and Islam to impose a tyrannical rule.

On the matter of the Iranian sham election, she had this to say, Rouhani pretends to be a moderate but the regime’s aggressive policy in the region has continued and will do so in the next four years. The history of the Regime for the past 38 years have been to pretend to be moderate but the truth is far from it, Mrs. Rajavi added that “the permanent policy of the regime throughout its rule has been the gross violation of human rights and brutal suppression at home. On the regional level, too, the regime has always sought to dominate the region by invasions and promotion of fundamentalism and sectarianism under the name of Islam. “ therefore the despotic policy will continue as Rouhani is serving his second term the only difference this time is that the sham election has intensified the rift and crisis at the regime’s helm and leadership level further paving the way for its overthrow.

A large number of senior officials from the Syrian opposition Coalition as well as prominent political personalities from other Islamic countries and leaders of the Muslim community in France participated and made speeches. Jalal Ganjeii, chairman of the NCRI freedom of religion committee were also among the speakers.
