Iranian Student uprising in the hot summer, 9 July 1999

On a hot summer day in 1999, some brave students were peacefully protesting the shutdown of  Salam newspaper and parliament's passage of a new law limiting freedom of the press. This is how it all started. Later that day, when the students were sound asleep in their dormitories the attack started, a couple of hours after midnight, plainclothes Basij militia and Ansar-e-Hezbollah stormed the dormitories, broke down doors, smashed furniture and wounded several students and killed at least one. They destroyed student rooms and properties and they threw some of the students out of balconies on the third floor onto the pavement below, crushing their bones and leaving one paralyzed.  According to witnesses of that day, 300 people were wounded and they claim 17 students were killed, authorities acknowledge just the death of Ezzat Ebrahim-Nejad.

9 July 1999 student uprising in Tehran
This vicious attack was the spark that led the peaceful protests in University campus onto the streets of Tehran. Approximately 50 000 students participated in the demonstrations and many ordinary Tehran citizens joined them. As days passed the protests spread across Iran and students in other major cities such as Tabriz, Mashhad, Shiraz, and Esfahan joined the uprising. In Tabriz, the police forces entered the universities and brutally attacked students, four students were killed and several students were tortured in custody. Saeed Zeinali disappeared after his arrest by security forces. 18 years later his mother is still waiting for his return. During this time Khatami reported having said: «If you are the people, then I am the enemy of the people.» The true face of the regime was finally revealed.
The student uprising on July 9, 1999, is considered to be the first massive uprising initiated by the generation born under the Islamic Republic Regime. This uprising is considered to be a foundation for the Green Movement of 2009.

ISIS terrorist attack in Tehran

We wish to give our condolences to the victims of the ISIS terrorist attack in Tehran.
Today we have seen the Iranian regime’s lobby in action. They are using all means possible to blame Wednesday's ISIS attack in Tehran on the Iranian resistance. The NCRI statement says: “Shedding blood of innocent people under any pretext must be condemned; ISIS practices clearly benefit clerical regime”.
The Iranian regime is now very satisfied, this attack has changed the focus from IRGC’s terrorist actions in Syria over to the suffering of the terror victims In Tehran.
Iran is trying to change the world perception of Iran from the perpetrator to victim.  Meanwhile, Khamenei is downscaling the attack as insignificant

The very reason so many freedom loving people around the world support the Iranian resistance is because they are working for the freedom for Iranian people and for an end to Iran's terrorist actions in the region. The MEK/PMOI is working hard to get rid of the lies that the regime’s lobby has been telling about them.  They are not a terrorist organization, that is why they are not on US blacklist, but the IRGC deserves to be on that list. It is a shame that serious news agencies sell out their integrity to support the world's largest terrorist cartel.
Khamenei welcomes this attack as an opportunity to end Iran's isolation in the region, they can now play the role of victim and that suits the regime very well.  The PMOI take in their statement distance from this act of terror. they make it very clear that the PMOI has nothing to do with the shooting and explosions at the site of Khomeini’s tomb and the shooting at the regime's parliament. However, the state media is doing their best to drag the PMOI into this matter. The PMOI reject the lies made by the clerical regime and calls for an international investigation into these incidents. The clerical regime will lose in their efforts to make the Iranian people believe that the PMOI are behind this terrorist attack, the Iranians know that the PMOI are struggling for their freedom. We will keep struggling until Iran is free and democratic, and have peaceful relations with their neighbours and that can only happen when the mullahs are removed from power.

Paul Ryan call to Blacklist IRGC

Paul Ryan urges for the blacklisting of the IRGC he also wants to have non-nuclear sanctions on Iran. a fatal flaw of the nuclear deal that Obama signed with the regime is that even if Iran cooperates it will provide Tehran with a patient pathway to nuclear capability.  We must continue to punish the regime for their illicit actions with sanctions.

House Speaker Paul Ryan

In his recent Speach, he criticised Obama policy and said:
Let’s start with Iran, my views, your views and the nuclear deal struck by Obama are pretty darn well known. But we must not forget the failures of the past if we want to do better simply put this deal has been an unmitigated disaster. I don’t say that lightly we provided billions of dollars in sanctions relieve sent more than a billion dollars in cold, hard cash and opened up Tehran to the global markets and meanwhile, Iran has stepped up its support for terrorism increased its human rights abuses and ramped its ballistic missile program. All while keeping its sights on a nuclear weapon. Republicans in congress reputed this deal and for a good reason, it is dangerous for the United States and for the world.

The Iranian spring of freedom and prosperity

We are witnessing spring all over the northern hemisphere, spring brings hope, a new life and dreams. I hope that this year will bring hope, freedom and democracy to Iran. She deserves a new life, she needs a new life, her people desires new life. It is up to us to help Iran get rid of the despotic dictators that have put her in chains. Iran is a country with a vast wealth that should be used to improve the livelihood of all Iranians, not only the clergy, and it should most definitely not be used to fuel the war in Syria, Iraq or Yemen.

Iranian children are living in extra poverty
But unfortunately that is what we see happening in Iran, the mullahs are putting the wealth of Iran into their own pocket or they are using it for war, this will never change unless we get a regime shift in Iran.   During the fire festival, this year people have been chanting Death to Khamenei, Death to the Velayat al-faqih, Death to mullahs’ regime and Mullahs must be killed.
Iranian youth firing  Khamenei photos in fire festival
The protests could be heard all over Iran, even political prisoners joined in the protests. In hall 12 ward 4 in Karaj’s Gohardasht prison west of Tehran they chanted Death to Dictator and Death to mullahs regime. Youth In Tehran have been celebrating by jumping over fire chanting Mullahs must be killed they also burned a large portrait of Khomeini and Khamenei.

The city of Esfahan has turned into a battleground between youth who are adamant to celebrate the feast of fire festival and the suppressive revolutionary guards who are keen to prevent the people from celebrating.  The Iranian people changed the fire festival into a gigantic protest against the mullahs and the mullahs rule there was the protest in Robat Karim, Arak, Urumia, Rasht, Ardevil, Shiraz, Mashhad, Kashan, Asluyie, Yasuj, Shahr-e Kord, Kermanshah, Bane, Khoramabad, Sardasht and Mahshahr.
The people's demands will be possible only under a new government, and these changes are the very core of the Iranian resistance, they are working hard from within Iran and from exile to liberate the people of Iran. In the 10 point plan made by the NCRI, all basic human rights have the highest priority. They are also clear on the wish to abolish the death penalty and medieval punishments like stoning. In the view of the resistance, this has no place in a democratic and free society.  In these days we see that all over Iran people are no longer silent about the injustice has done to them by the clerical regime. They are loudly protesting and with the growth of social media, the whole world is supporting their fight for freedom.
There will be more deaths and broken families but this is a price the people are willing to pay to secure that their children will grow up in a free and democratic Iran.  Let us pray that Iran will lose her chains soon, Inch Allah.

The meaning of isolation of Iran in region

In recent days the relations between the Iranian regime and other countries has become difficult, to say the least. The regime is blamed for the destabilization of the whole Middle-east region. The Swedish government has proposed a resolution at the UN human rights council against the Iranian regime for violating Human rights. But this is not what concerns the regime most at this point, their greatest concern is the grooving unrest within the borders of Iran.In the last 3 days, people are gathering in larger numbers in front of the parliament and Tehran’s City Hall,  to protest the lack of job security, wage rights, and Job insurance.  this is a sign of the time shift occurring in Iran in these days. Iran-Munich security conference as a turning point

This year's security conference in Munich marks a shift in how the world is considering the mullahs regime in Iran. numerous countries condemned Iran as the main sponsor of terror both on a regional and global scale. The regime was named the source of the instability of the region and not the solution. This is a major turning point in what the future might hold for Tehran. And it will force the regime to change its actions in the region if they wish to uphold good relations with other countries.  Iran has no other choice than to take this desition to heart and be careful not to provoke any action from their enemies.

A bombshell for Iran

The similarity of the harsh criticism and strong positions taken by numerous countries against Iran speaks very vividly and unmistakably of a coalition against Tehran, leaving senior Iranian regime officials desperately in need of a solution, and fast.
The conference has been described as a major turning point to what the future may hold for Tehran, and it is now crystal-clear that the balance of power in the region and around the globe has shifted significantly against the mullahs, to say the least.
"A new formation of old enemies against our country has established, and we are alone faced with a global alliance. In such conditions Iran must decrease the military confrontation possibility, tone down the propaganda and make room for overt and covert diplomacy, all aimed at breaking this alliance," the state-run Sharq daily wrote in a recent editorial printed on its first page.

Iran takes dual nationality citizens as hostages

It is a known fact that the Iranian mullahs are using dual nationality citizens as hostages, they are imprisoned on bogus charges and has been sentenced to prison terms that are the same as if you murdered someone. the hostage that needs our immediate concern at this point is Nazanin Ratcliff, she has been sentenced to 5 years imprisonment on charges of attempting the soft overthrow of the regime. This is bogus charges of course since Nazanin is a British charity worker with no other concern than to be with her now 2-year-old daughter Gabriella who is also a hostage in Iran.

Nazanin has become very sick in prison and is in urgent need of medical treatment. But as a part of the daily torture, she is denied any medical aid. She is suffering from a neurological illness that is making her unable to stand on her feet, but she has not been allowed to get a medical cure for her illness. A neurologist warns that untreated the illness can leave her permanently disabled.
Nazanin was detained on April 3, 2016. On September 10th 2016 it was revealed that she had been sentenced to five years imprisonment, she was charged with attempting soft overthrow of the clerical regime. Her daughter Gabriella has got her British passport confiscated by the Iranian police and is now being raised by her grandparents. Her husband launched a petition to get his wife and daughter back, the petition has been signed by 850 000 supporters from 155 countries.

Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe with her daughter, Gabriella

In a secret hearing on Jan 4th, 2017, her appeal was dismissed this was announced on January 22. In a statement her husband said the precise charges against Nazanin remain secret, but that two new accusations were made at her appeal. One of those accusations was that she had been head of recruitment for the BBC’s Farsi service when it was launched in 2009. The other charge was that she was a British spy.
The latest months in jail has been particularly hard on Nazanin and her state of health is not good, she is in urgent need of medical treatment but is denied the request of being transferred to a hospital for treatment.
The Iranian regime is using Nazanin as a bargaining chip for their own political bargains and economic interests.  Iran does not recognize dual nationalities, meaning those detained cannot receive consular assistance.
Nazanin is not the only Briton jailed in Iran Kamal Foroughi has been held in Evin Prison since 2011.
And Roya Nobakht was jailed in 2013
Another Briton, unnamed is known to be in jail in Iran.
