By Zohair Ahmad

Leila Bayat, 36 was deported from Norway, Tuesday she received 80 lashes in Iran.
Before she arrived in Norway, Leila Bayat received a sentence of 80 lashes for alcohol consumption. The Norwegian authorities did not believe her and sent her back to Iran, Tuesday the sentence was completed and she received the 80 lashes.

Leila Bayat came to Norway in 2009 together with her son Mani, she told the authorities that if she was to be sent back she would be flogged, UNE thought that the sentence was fabricated and decided it was safe to send her back to Iran, they assumed she had lied about the sentence and that no harm would come to her if she was to be sent home to Iran.
On March 8th this year she was deported, after 8  years in Norway she was sent back alone, her son got his family reunion with his father in Steinkjer, Norway approved and was allowed to stay.
Through Skype, Leila tells us that she is not ok and she added that her sentence of 80 lashes was completed on Tuesday. Leila told her

Being a woman in Iran is not a free life

There are many restrictions laid upon women by the Islamic dictators in Tehran. The clerical regime has ratified the human rights bill but they do not give any citizen human rights, especially women.  Women are treated as second-class citizens and there are no improvements in sight. As the presidential election are approaching in Iran the regime cracks down even harder on women to prevent any protests.
The bans on women can be described as discriminating at best but are really old men’s way of holding on to their crumbling power. As women’s power are growing stronger in Iran the regime is putting more bans on women to try to put the women in chains. Some of the bans are weird, women are not allowed to ride bicycles because it threatens their chastity? It is also forbidden for women to wear boots over their pants. It is forbidden for women to wear clothes that show their body curves. It is forbidden for women to show even a tiny strand of hair outside the hijab which is compulsory, women are encouraged to cover not only their hair but also their faces. A girl is not allowed to object if her father decides to marry her of at the age of 9. Women are also discouraged from taking an education instead of marrying at the age of 9. Girls should be allowed to decide for themselves whether to marry or take an education.
Iranian women are not allowed to divorce a violent husband, only the men are allowed to file for divorce. The list of bans on women is long and it is getting longer. The mullahs are aware of that it will be the power of women that will be their downfall and they are terrified of the strength of women.

Maryam Rajavi
The NCRI have a woman as president-elect and she has been fighting for freedom for 40 years. Mrs. Maryam Rajavi is still strong and her strength frightens the mullahs so much that they are trying to get MEK/PMOI listed as terrorists and are spreading fake news and info about the largest opposition organization that fight about 40 years for freedom and democracy in Iran, but the world are no longer fooled by their lies, the world is now aware of that it is the regime that is the terrorists.
The regime is practicing medieval punishments against both men and women. Stoning is one of these cruel punishments, amputation is one other horrible punishment. The mullahs have no respect for human lives and especially women. Women are considered property by the mullahs and are not even regarded as human beings. The only solution for Iranian women is a regime change, we must get a regime that is governed by human rights, equal rights for men and women and by justice. The regime claims that their justice system is very good but we have been witness to the execution of a young man before he was sentenced and the culprits were not punished. Iranian women need a government that grants them equal rights under the law and a government that is striving for freedom and democracy for all Iranians.

Iran-International women’s day March 8

We have been marking the international women’s day in many different ways over the years. Here in the west it has been protests about free abortion and other issues that are quite obscure for the Iranian women. The fight they are fighting is quite different. They are fighting for the right of being treated as human beings. In Iran a woman is her father’s property first, and later the property of her husband. She has no right to work, travel or shop unless she has permission from a male relative or her husband.

Maryam Rajavi-International Women day
The list of things that an Iranian woman is forbidden of doing is long. She is not allowed to ride a bike because it is bad for her chastity. ??? An Iranian woman is not allowed to watch men's sports. There are many strange prohibitions that are very strange if you see it from a western woman's point of view.  An Iranian woman/ girl is not allowed to object if her father decides to marry her off at the age of 9. Child brides are quite usual in Iran and a woman is not allowed to ask for a divorce, that right is for men only.  In Iran women are not allowed to choose their own clothing there are strict rules. Women have to obey the compulsatory hijab law. Women are also prevented from various educations that the mullahs consider as masculine professions.

Maryam Rajavi welcomed by PMOI members in Albania

In her speech, she pointed out that the people of the world are now aware of that the Iranian regime is behind a great export of terrorism, war and fundamentalism and for their effort to make nuclear weapons. As a result of that she said that two major realities have gone less noticed: in conjunction with its export of terrorism and fundamentalism to the region, also the prime advocate of misogyny in those countries. Therefore, it should be considered as the most dangerous threat to women’s achievements in today’s world. And Second is the fact that these defiant women have had a significant role in the fight against Iran’s ruling fundamentalists.

International women day meeting in Albania
That women bear the brunt of repression in Iran, reveals the regime’s defensive tactic against the existential threat it feels from women. The impression of the mandatory veil on women and flagrant discriminations against them in educational and vocational arenas are only efforts to enchain women; otherwise, the mullahs would not be able to preserve their power. And they will be toppled by these women.  On the other side, women have proven their effective and growing role in the struggle against the mullahs’religious tyranny, The men of this movement also sent a message for our sons, brothers and Fathers in Iran to rise up in defense of freedom and equality. She also offered congratulations on the international women’s day to women across Iran, the brave female political prisoners, & to men and women who seek freedom and equality. She also commemorated all those women who have been tortured or executed by the clerical regime in the course of their struggle against the velayat-e faqih.

What is the meaning of Swedish women with hijab in Iran?

It is with great disbelief I watch the Swedish delegation enters Iran. The women who are in the front line fighting for women’s rights bends over and great the Iranian delegates wearing HIJAB, I had to look twice to believe this.

I ask the Swedish ladies: How could you sell out all that you are fighting for? How could you let down your Iranian sisters like this? It is really the walk of shame in many meanings. First of all, you are wearing hijab, last time I checked Sweden was not a Muslim country so this is not your normal headgear. Second, what are you doing in Iran? do you not see all the atrocities that the regime is doing to their own people? and especially women?

To show respect for a country should not mean that you sell out your beliefs and values, but this is exactly what the Swedish delegates are doing when they are bending over for the dictators in Tehran.

The French delegate was no better, do not tell me it is out of respect for the country, the Persian culture does not contain forced hijab, this is a clerical phenomenon that appeared after the mullahs hijacked the Iranian revolution. In true Persian culture wearing hijab is a personal choice, every woman decides if she wishes to wear hijab or choose not to.

The day 100,000 Iranian women protested the headscarf.
The protests against forced hijab are at an all-time high in Iran, more and more women are protesting against this Islamic rule forced upon the women by the mullahs and their brothers and husbands are fighting with them. So how can government delegates sell out so easily?

The bravery of the Iranian women is outstanding, they keep protesting even if they can end up in jail or be sentenced to public flogging. So why do the female delegates who visit Iran bend over so easy?

Do you think this is a must out of respect for the Islamic religion? Take a look at the western female delegates visiting Saudi Arabia, none of these ladies was forced to wear hijab, none. This is true Islam, wearing hijab must be a choice the woman makes, to get these rights for women of Iran there must be a regime change because the Mullahs in Tehran are old and they are still in the dark ages when it comes to the development of society. The only solution for the women of Iran to get freedom of choice is to overthrow the mullahs regime and elect a democratic government that believes in equality between genders and human rights.
